August 29 – Memorial Day of the defenders who died in the struggle for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Since 2014, Koryukivka met her best sons, who gave the most valuable thing for Ukraine - their lives, in mourning "on the shield".
On the graves of the Heroes in their native villages and in Koryukivka, flags are placed - a symbol of the country for which they fought.
Today in Koryukivka, 29 flags fly on Heroes of Ukraine Square - such a high price for our freedom and the right to call ourselves Ukrainian.
