38th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant

38 years ago, the worst nuclear disaster in the history of mankind happened - the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The Chernobyl disaster is so global that it was assigned the 7th level of danger on the international scale of nuclear events.

50 million curies is the total release of radioactive materials as a result of the accident. This amount is equal to the consequences of the explosions of 500 atomic bombs, which were dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.

The complete decay of the last radioactive element in the contaminated territories to the state of natural material will occur in the year 26486, that is, 24500 years after the accident.

Ukraine and the world paid a high price for eliminating the consequences of this man-made disaster. Many of those consequences, unfortunately, are felt even now.

Today, the main goal of humanity is to prevent similar tragedies in the future. However, not everyone learned the lessons of Chernobyl. russia is terrorizing the world and Ukraine by seizing Europe's largest nuclear power plant and launching missile attacks on other nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

A low bow to the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP, eternal memory to the victims of this disaster.
